Better Not Buy That….

O.k. so I’m going to tell you a funny story about my sister. It all started last week when my sister was working her first day at Marcs.

If you don’t know, Marcs is sort of like a Super K-Mart. It sells food, school supplies, and a bunch of other stuff. My sister just got her first job as a cashier there and was working on Tuesday.

Of course, it being only two days before Thanksgiving and them selling cheaper groceries, they were pretty busy to say the least.

Well, she was ringing up one lady’s groceries and the lady hands her a blank check because she was supposed to print it out of the register or something; I’m not really sure – I’ll have to ask. Anyway, she has just finished scanning all of the items.

“How much is it?” She asked my sister.

“Um, that’s what I’m trying to figure out,” my sister responds; I imagine she was a bit confused.

The computer’s telling me that it’s about eight thousand dollars, but I think there might be a mistake.”

As it turns out, she was supposed to weight the two bags of lettuce not just scan it. From what her boss says, you just have to try it and see if it works because some of the bags go through just fine and others need to be weighed.

I was going to let it slide that she charged $4,200 a piece, but on her second day, she charged someone $8,000 again, but this time was different. 1.)It was a bag of tomatoes (because that’s so totally not the same thing 🙄 ) and 2.) I’m not sure if it was the same person, but she saw one of the teachers from one of the middle schools that day. What do you think, should I be the annoying, little sister and bug her, or should this newspaper page be enough? 😉
